Hey guys, I know I’ve been MIA on this site. My official website it under construction but should be up and running by Christmas.
For now you can find me and samples of my latest work at www.facebook.com/AbbyJacksonPhotography.
See ya there, friends!
I have been looking at some photography recently that purposefully had a lot of noise. When you are taught and are learning photography, you hear a lot about keeping the ISO as low as possible to eliminate noise. However noise can be artistic, the problem is that I’m not really artistic but I decided to try it anyway. I cranked my ISO up (it becomes more sensitive to light and other “noise” in the picture) and snapped some pictures of my little brother playing the piano. I felt like the noise made the pictures more emotional and added another dimension. I definitely prefer crisp pictures, but the grainy look fits with the moment: beautiful worshipful hymns being performed for anyone who would listen in my parents’ dimly lit dining room.
I don’t know. I can’t explain it well with words. Hopefully the pictures can speak for me.
